HEY, I'M SHIVANSH

Born in the warmth of the sand dunes of Rajasthan and brought up in the extreme weather of New Delhi, I’m someone who was made for the challenges life throws at you.

A passionate and life-loving extrovert who was once allured by the whims and fancies of the 9-5 Job life, turned entrepreneur and mentor to discover the unlimited potential of sales and marketing. Be it working in giants such as Aditya Birla and Uber or leading AIESEC as the Vice President, college taught me a lot of things.

But most importantly, it taught me to hustle and focus on what’s important. And I feel that somewhere that feeling is lost in today’s generation. So I began on the journey to develop essential career and personality traits amongst the youth in this country. And well, it’s been a roller coaster ride so far.

MY EXPERIENCES

Working with organisations such as Aditya Birla and Uber gave me insights into the corporate world and motivated me to work day and night. It motivated me to start taking initiatives, become a leader and help peers around me.

Most of my time at Aditya Birla was spent managing people and working with top leaders. My ability to take initiatives meant that my mentors would never hesitate to give a team of my own to lead and manage at the tender age of 18.

At Uber, I had crazy experiences. Whether it was taking interviews of candidates on the wheel, Yes! Literally on the wheel going around Delhi to take interviews because Uber has its way of doing things;). Or representing the organisation at LSR, it was all a great learning experience.

Both these organisations along with AIESEC made me realise my potential in being a mentor and influencer. They made me believe in myself and take pride in presenting my work to industry giants.

WHY BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR?

College is the most precious time of your life. During your years at graduation, you realise what works for you the best and what you want to do in life. Discovering your potential is the most important aspect of your college life and I did exactly that. With my past experiences, I realised that I’m good at 3 things: i) Sales, ii) Networking and iii) Leadership. These are the most essential skill sets required to become an Entrepreneur. Apart from this you need a goal in life and my goal was to help as many students as I can during this short span of my life. Making a difference in other’s lives is what my main motivation was and with this idea in mind, I started on this journey of Entrepreneurship with Young Engine. A journey that has just started and far from where I want my company to be.

Sales and Marketing is in my blood and the best way to impact lives is by sharing knowledge. Selling with Stories is a one month bootcamp where you’ll get to take a deep dive into the enormous world of sales and storytelling. This program is designed to make you understand the importance of storytelling in sales and to learn the key aspects that will make your story sell. From the basics of prospecting to implementing what you’ve learnt through a live project, the program is created for those fearless minds who are looking to unlock their potential in the area of sales and marketing.

YOUNG ENGINE COMMUNITY

Young Engine aims to bridge the gap between employers and potential employees, especially undergraduate students. The sole purpose of creating this organisation is to solve the problems that we as the student community of undergraduate colleges in India face. From the very first day of starting a new company and embarking on the journey of entrepreneurship, it’s been an awesome ride. My team and I have come a long way, building a student community that now has 10,000+ members, 30+ college partners and 60+ partners. With Young Engine, we dream of creating a platform for students to network and build their personalities and to never worry about getting hired or starting a business.
